We are FINALLY moving to NetApp OSSV so we won't be using Backup Exec for our file-level backups any longer, only NDMP dumps, which is why I've stuck with the workaround and not looked any further into truly fixing the issue. NET sqlClient and the Backup Exec Command Line Applet (BEMCMD) are used for management on Backup Exec 10d to 2010. Your BE logs will report "Completed with exceptions" but your data IS getting backed up. The will at least get you functional again until Backup Exec (hopefully) release a hotfix for this. The Remote Agent was using the local system account and the Backup Exec Server Service was using the Backup Exec Service account. It has caused us Windows Explorer issues in the past on our 2008 VMs.) I recently ran into a problem with the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems and Backup Exec Server services both getting hung in the starting mode. (On a side note you may want to uninstall the Shared Folders option while you're at it. Select Volume Shadow Copy Services Support, complete the install and reboot Perform an Interactive VMware Tools installĦ. Unfortunately the only fix I can offer is this:ģ. We "upgraded" to BE 2010 and it caused the same issue on all our 2003 (not 2008) VMs. This is my first time posting anything here so I hope I do it right!
